Sunday night L.A. Beverly Hills Hilton hosted the Oscars of the swimworld, Golden Goggles 2009. Celebrities, athletes, and the people who love them, all came out to honor swimmers who competed during the 2009 FINA World Championships in Rome. Mike showed up flanked by two lovely ladies, Momma Phelps and Sister Hilary. Men and women showed off their 'red carpet' style, including Louboutin heels (those are kind of a big deal) and Burberry pattern bow ties. All in all, everyone looked perfect for the occasion. Phelps, Torres, Coughlin, Soni, Beisel, Weber-Gale, Jones and others really put their best looks foward for the night.
Mike got a GG for his totally fun and exciting 100m Butterfly race, and a GG for the scream inducing Relay with Adrian, Grevers, and Lochte.
Male Athlete of the Year was none other than Ryan Lochte. And Rebecca Soni won Female Athlete of the Year. Tyler Clary won for Breakout Performance.
