Mike set an awesome record over the weekend during his swim in Montreal Quebec Cup. He took gold in the 100 Fly and 100 Free. BOTH races were amazing, but everyone is totally amazed at his performance during the Fly. Mike went 50.48, which by the way is very fast, AND as pointed out by Mel Stewart, the time comes close to the 49 seconds Mike and Bob planned for the event in Beijing.
So much focus has been on what Mike didn't win in Santa Clara, that Im very happy to see him get gold in two events, one of which displayed his new stroke technique, well it was more of a hybrid situation like in Charlotte, but CONGRATS TO MIKE!!!

2009 Conoco Phillips National Championships & World Championships Trials in Indianapolis!!!
Sadly I will not be at the meet, HOWEVER please know that the Phelps Phive and Phriends will definitely be in attendance, and we'll cover the Trials from every single specific angle possible! And in honor of this event, all blogs about INDY will come from one of the Original Phelps Phive, Amber! She will be on the scene and giving all the info you might wanna know about! So be on the lookout for her and the other PPP members as we cover Indy like NO ONE ELSE!!! It's kind of like a debut for the group so we're very excited!
